Senior Estimator – Demolition, Asbestos, Remediation & Bulk Excavation
RNT Group is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing team.
You will manage tenders across demolition, asbestos removal, hazardous-material remediation, contaminated soil removal, bulk excavation, earthworks and enabling works.
This is a hands-on role suited to an estimator who understands project delivery, construction methodology, commercial risk and site operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage tenders from initial review through to submission and project handover
Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and technical reports
Complete quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates
Price labour, plant, materials, haulage, disposal and subcontracted works
Prepare scopes, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions and qualifications
Develop preliminary methodologies, staging plans and tender programs
Review hazardous-material, geotechnical, contamination and structural reports
Calculate demolition waste, excavation volumes and truck movements
Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
Identify commercial, contractual, safety and environmental risks
Attend site inspections, tender meetings and client interviews
Prepare tender clarifications and negotiate pricing where required
Complete detailed handovers to project and operational teams
Maintain estimating rates, cost data and tender records
Support and mentor junior estimators where required
About You
You will have:
Previous estimating experience in demolition, asbestos, remediation, excavation, earthworks or civil construction
Experience managing tenders from enquiry through to submission
Strong knowledge of construction methods and project sequencing
Ability to interpret architectural, structural and civil drawings
Experience pricing labour, plant, waste, transport and subcontractors
Strong commercial awareness and risk identification skills
Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience using estimating or digital take-off software
Current Australian driver’s licence
Full Australian working rights
Highly Regarded
Class A or Class B asbestos estimating experience
Structural demolition or complex strip-out experience
Contaminated land or hazardous-material remediation experience
Bulk excavation, earthworks or civil enabling works experience
Government, infrastructure or Tier 1 tendering experiences
Experience using EstimateOne, Aconex, Cubit, CostX, Bluebeam or Buildsoft
Qualification in quantity surveying, engineering or construction management
