At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village to when our residents call it home, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team, united by being part of something bigger – bringing the best of life to our residents.

We’re looking for a People and Culture Analyst to join our Shared Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with data, systems and insights, and wants to make a real impact in a purpose-led organisation. This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington.

About the role

Reporting to the Reward Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the wider People and Culture team through high-quality reporting, analytics and remuneration support. Around half of this role will focus on people analysis, reporting and insights, with the other key focus being hands-on involvement in cyclical remuneration reviews, reward activities, benefits support and HR data processes. You’ll help turn people data into meaningful insights and support the smooth delivery of reward cycles across the business.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Preparing monthly and ad-hoc people reporting, analysis and insights for leaders.

  • Analysing workforce trends across areas such as turnover, engagement, remuneration and workforce movement.

  • Playing a key role in cyclical remuneration reviews, including data preparation, validation, analysis, modelling and reporting.

  • Supporting market remuneration survey submissions, benefits administration and reward reporting.

  • Helping maintain data accuracy and integrity across P&C systems, remuneration files and reporting tools.

  • Supporting HR technology, data and process improvement initiatives that make reward and reporting activity easier and more efficient.

About you

You’ll be analytical, curious and detail-focused, with the confidence to work across data, systems and stakeholders. You enjoy solving problems, improving processes and presenting information in a way that helps others make good decisions.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience in HR analytics, reward, reporting or a similar People and Culture role.

  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with complex data sets.

  • Experience with HR systems, reporting tools or data visualisation tools such as Power BI.

  • A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and comfort working with confidential information.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into clear insights.

  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • A tertiary qualification in human resources, business, data, analytics or a related discipline would be helpful.

Why Summerset?

When you’re part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced and where your career can flourish. We believe diversity strengthens our team and enriches the experience we deliver to our residents, and we warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.

Some of the great benefits you’ll enjoy include:

  • Flexible working arrangements.

  • Free Southern Cross health insurance.

  • Ongoing professional development and career progression.

  • Birthday leave.

  • The chance to contribute to a growing, values-led organisation with real purpose.
