    The good thingsRecruitment and onboarding processes were very well planned and engaging. The business is well structured with role definition & responsibilities in place and there are good opportunities for employee learning and development. The variance of products being processed / manufactured is interesting & remuneration is on the high side for the regional areas that the manufacturing facilities are located

    Too much politics within the business. There are no opportunities to grow within the business even if you have potential.
    The good thingsThe good things about working for Simplot is the employees, They are really nice people. That's about it.
    The challengesThe management does not care about employees. They'd rather waste money on an unnecessary million dollar office refurbishment than give you a pay rise or fund your personal development.

    The good thingsLocal site management is great. Close to workers and in tune with situation on ground. Sometimes surplus product sold at staff discount.

    The challengesSlow with change and sometimes not open to change. Bonus structure was vague and progress / status on achieving this was not communicated well. Pay rises not necessarily linked to individual results.

    They expect results but also give you the support to attain them.
    The good thingsUnfortunately Simplot closed their Pakenham site and sold the real estate or I would still be there. I loved working for them and conditions were excellent. Regular meetings with managment and the passing on of information was excellent.
    The challengesLike any company KPI,s need to be met . I found Simplot to be very fair and understanding . I highly recommend them as they will always put out the hand to help . They are great supporters of their staff.

    Highly political organisation, mired in bureaucracy that eventually grinds most people down.
    The good thingsFamily owned company, and some of Jack Simplot's original vision is still in place. The products are generally good, and when things go well people are generally nice and friendly (with a big caveat - see below).
    The challengesPeople are nice, up to a point... The whole organisation is built on CYA and under the nice smiles superficial friendliness there are some truly unpleasant characters who work there. You're basically flavour of the month, until they turn on you and make your life a living hell. Very few team players, and lots and lots of politics.

    The challengesOld factory, supervisors were impossible to deal with, the environment was either freezing cold or very hot, always wet in both environments alot of injuries due to old machines etc
