It it is like being back in Highschool
The good thingsThey have a great staff rental programs
The challengesWould not recommend RT Edwards to anyone. It is a horrible place to work. Very gossipy environment. Anyone will stab anyone in the back to get ahead. Upper management are happy to turn a blind eye to anyone who is being treated poorly by other staff, they will even go to the extent of transferring the person being treated to badly to mask the problem. They are also quick to move people out, by whatever means necessary, if you are not a YES man. I could go on forever, but if you are considering working here, DO NOT.

If you believe in rental you need to work here as the no1 rental company.
The good thingsThe Staff are the best to work with if you get a good team. Providing you are supported you can earn very good money here. This company will be around for a long time so job security is a good. I love working with technology and having the customer thank me for helping them. Repeat customers give me a great feeling.

I worked for RT Edwards for almost nine years and at the end of the day you are just a number that is easily replaced.
The good thingsThe best things were the friendly customers and the staff I had the pleasure to work with.
The challengesSelling rental could be very challenging, rental is the direction of the company. If you don't meet your KPI's expect a written warning. Staff training was not the best.

Used to have an amazingly positive culture, but penny pinching and a 'my way or the highway' attitude from middle management has left a sour taste for many.
The good thingsClear and generally achievable targets based on actual past results. Structured coaching and performance management. Generous financing for staff purchases. Staff development & training.
The challengesToo much focus on compliance distracts front-line management from store-level objectives. Getting harder to make decent commission. Store Managers have no real authority to make decisions re store & staff.
