14 months jobless. 15 years of experience. Still rejected—“overqualified.” Yet recruiters call offering roles completely unrelated to my background. Are resumes even being read? Candidates are told to be clear and professional—where is that standard on the other side? This system is broken. Experienced professionals are overlooked. It’s time for accountability, respect, and real understanding in hiring.

Okay, so I was approached by the company. Had my first interview on the phone, got called in to the office for a second interview and then the next morning they reached out asking if their salary package meets my requirements. I said I was excited to join and start with them if opportunity arises blah blah and said I’d want more than what they’re offering (not much more) and asked about doing a 9 day fortnight. It’s all under processing but the wait and anticipation is killing me!!! Ahhhhhh
