Any other females struggling right now trying to find a job in the trade industry, u sit there and get told you’ll never be good enough, never be stronger enough never be tuff enough, always being told your gonna get no where in life, getting declined by companies from having lack of experience but yet you can’t get any because who wants to hire a girl right. Just wish it was easier.

Hi everyone, I’m currently looking for an electrical apprenticeship in Perth and thought I’d reach out here. I’ve got my White Card, manual licence, and have spent some time on site helping an electrician, which really confirmed that this is the trade I want to pursue. I’m keen to work hard, learn lots, and build a long-term career in the industry. I’m also happy to start as a trade assistant if that helps get my foot in the door. My current company went to voluntary administration last week . I’m with them for only 2.5 years and currently doing Apprenticeship with them too, only 4/5 months left to finish. Doesn’t looks like company gonna survive but it is just too early to say that. I don’t think so I’m eligible for redundancy as well. Any suggestions , should I stick to them until it goes to liquidation or move on find another job. I’m on bit of confusion right now. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

I work as a drywall installer, plasterer, and painter, despite my skills and hard work, it’s been tough to grow or find stable opportunities. UK plumber here, just got my Provisional Plumbing Licence (WA) + OTSR and I’m on Seek looking for work in Perth. Quick question for any other UK or provisional plumbers — how did you go finding work on Seek with a provisional? Do companies actually hire provisionals or is it mostly a waste of time? Any tips or success stories? License says I have to work under supervision and get the gap training done before being fully qualified. I have 10 years experience. Cheers
