Just finished my MBA and a career break. Is it reasonable to negotiate for 30%+ salary on my next role? I was a product manager earning $130k before I took 2 years out to do my MBA full time. Hoping to test if the market would value stronger leadership credentials, anyone with experience on this? 😬

I work as trainer and assessor for cert 3 individual support. this is my first role as trainer when I accepted this role. I accepted this role without knowing what awards my job actually under. But after 3 months, now I realised there is new awards for my role when I read that, I actually get paid 5 dollar less then the current awards (awards says $60.18 as casual level 2). Im aware that im new, this makes me hesitant to ask for this to my employer. Im looking any advice, please. thankyou.

it’s going to be 2 years into my role and I asked for a review in salary. I was turned down point blank, reason being I am given market value and am better paid than most in the organization. No chance to say what my achievements were, nothing. When I said I work well on my own, able to make executive decisions without input from senior levels, I was told that was expected of me and not a reasonable point for a salary increase. Curious, did I word my request correctly? Could I have done better?

How can I ask my employer about a pay rise? I have been in my job for 1.5 years and I didn’t feel confident enough at my annual review to bring it up (I know i need to be more assertive, I'm working on it!). I did get a cost-of-living % increase, but I want to shoot for at least another 10%. Should I wait until my six-month review or just bring it up now? Does anyone have experience successfully asking for a raise?

Recently I took on some extra tasks at work after someone in my team left - the whole team kind of absorbed that role. No one to my knowledge has had a pay increase or a title change - what's the deal here? How can I retroactively ask for a raise for something I'm already doing? I feel like I've lost my leverage.
