Had a final round interview a week ago that went well... but I've not heard back 😅 I'm wondering if I should follow-up or would that make me seem desperate?

After a week? I'd be following up for sure. Can't imagine anyone having a problem with being interested

Nothing wrong with a follow up now. Some people say two weeks, the way things move at the moment, that feels a bit too long imo.

If a timeframe was not given at interview, then a follow-up is fine. It demonstrates your commitment, and communication style

Esther, a week of silence after a "good interview" is the corporate version of being left on read. Definitely follow up , not desperate, just making sure they haven't been abducted by aliens or replaced by AI bots that only send "unfortunately" templates. But also? Start lighting a candle for your sanity. Worst case, you get a rejection. Best case, they "forgot" because their HR runs on Outlook 2003 and prayers. Follow up once, then ghost them back. 😁

Hate that I waited three weeks to be told we hired internally

Follow up! It shows interest and eagerness - not desperation.
