Seeing "2,500 applicants" on a job ad before I even click apply is enough to make me close the tab..💀 like be honest.. are most of these applicants even real, bots or just spammers from overseas?! idk how situation gets overcome..

Please don’t let this discourage you. I swear I had a fluke and ended up getting this WFH admin job that had over 5,000 applicants. I’m a high school drop out with no qualifications. I just never gave up. Don’t give up. You really do miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

There's alot of people who may not even match any of the required skills who apply. Unfortunately there will be plenty of applications from overseas as well. Don't give up - just make sure your resume matches the job advertisement. Talk up your skills that match & make sure your cover letter & resume are up to date & are in a professional looking format. Good luck

I get frustrated when most jobs don't put a salary range, the job will sound great but if the salary isn't what im looking for i don't want to waste anyones time!

Easiest thing to do is just ignore the number. Like you're not going to be able to change it. Keep your best foot forward and make sure your cover letter says enough to stand out. I've definitely gotten jobs before where there was competition. And I've missed out on things they said they only had a couple. You've got skills to show off!

I saw numbers like that when I was hiring not long ago Fran. There were quite a few who felt like they were just applying to everything they can. Don't let it discourage you...it's just more important you take the time to really spell out why you're a great fit for the job. Might just be me but if someone takes the time to write a thoughtful cover letter, it tells me they're serious and really want this job.
