I'm trying to start my career I'm doing something I'm passionate about but I'm getting really disheartened because I don't think anyone wants me and I want to show everybody that I'm worth something I have lots of clearances and more I would like a job where I can help people and if you think I would be suitable I wouldn't mind talking to someone about this helping me get into position where I can help people

I’m nearly 4 months into my new job and it’s a 2 hour drive round trip and they have let people work from home but won’t let me, they said to me either I can figure out how I can get two and from with the current fuel prices or we would have to sit down and figure out my options. What do I do?

Most Australians say... 'purpose at work matters more than pay', REALLY??? Reading that shocked me. I get it, meaningful work sounds great… but honestly, I’m happier with better pay. Am I alone in feeling this way? Do you agree that purpose really comes first?

Applied for a high profile management role with a large international retail group. Made it to first interview stage. Had, what I believed, a successful 45 minute chat via zoom. Waited about two for a reply, then sent through a follow up email, seeing how things were travelling. Waited a week for a reply, which eventually arrived, stating that I’ll get a follow up email “early next week” outlining the next steps…. That was two weeks ago. Didn’t get the job, did i….

I’m a senior manager and passionate about my work, but this is the second role in a row where the reality has been very different from what was described during recruitment. Despite doing research and speaking to many people, I ended up in a role dependent on teams and systems that are over capacity or don’t exist yet. I’ve been here 6 months, is it too soon to leave? How do others better assess this during interviews to avoid it happening again?

I started a new job in November I had to do two trial shifts before getting hired and offered a contract. After signing my contract the manager proceeded to give me a shift for the next day this was the 27th of November and unknowingly to me the last shift they have given me since signing the contract I have contacted the manager multiple times (2-3 times) two of the times I asked about not receiving shifts and refresh my manager on my availability while the other was a query about where I might
