Overall hiring continues to cool, with job ads dropping 0.4% in March. Employers are still actively recruiting for roles related to infrastructure and energy investment projects, while they pull back more sharply in Professional Services and Public Sector roles. Applications in February declined 0.5%, following record highs in 2025.
