SEEK Advertised Salary Index - June
The SEEK Advertised Salary Index (ASI) measures the growth in advertised salaries for jobs posted on SEEK in Australia. This report provides a snapshot of the monthly data. The next quarterly SEEK ASI report will be released in August and will contain industry and state trends.
NATIONAL ADVERTISED SALARY TRENDS
Advertised salaries rose 0.3% m/m in June. While this is faster than the previous two months, this is slower than the 0.4% recorded in March.
Annual advertised salary growth was slightly higher at 4.2% y/y in June and has been trending upwards since July 2025.
SEEK Chief Economist, Dr Blair Chapman says:
"Annual advertisedsalary growth remains relatively strong, despite the challenging environment for businesses, and while growth picked up slightly in June, the monthly pace has softened since March.”
“Businesses are dealing with higher input and borrowing costs alongside continued global uncertainty, which is impacting the hiring outlook for pockets of the labour market. Annual advertised salary growth is back around the pace last seen in July 2024, although recent monthly growth suggests that we may see a moderation in annual growth over the next few months.”
